Laits look likely winners, but the big two teams are still in there
The Private Rooftop won the ‘Battle of Budapest’ as they ran out comfortable 4-2 winners against their fellow countrymen here in Sofia.

They will now battle it out with Nova Vita for a place in tomorrow’s semi finals, after the Romanians narrowly beat Ortega Twins 1-0, in a very tight affair over on pitch 2.

Laits continue to impress and look like the team to beat, as they made it 4 wins from 4 with an emphatic victory over MFC Lavore. Their toughest test to date though will come against the experienced Zire, who knocked out former champions MFK Hram, 2-0.

We then had the extraordinary moment when games on both pitches 1 & 2, finished 0-0 at the same time and went to penalties, and it was Cemil Baba Baklavari (5-4) and FC Lowcy (3-2) who came out on top in their shootouts, against Red Star Belgrade and Hoverla ZAK respectively.

The last two games in the round of 16 were very entertaining, first up Aznur came from a goal behind to lead 2-1, and were set for the quarter finals, but a late BKMK goal took the game to penalties and it was the team from Czechia that won after Aznur missed their first kick.

It was better news for Aznur’s countrymen and the current Champions League holders, Birbasha, who eventually overcame a stubborn Flamingos FC team, who had led 1-0 until well into the second half.

So we have our last 8, and in a few hours time, we will have our semi finalists.
